Brian Scott Claytor, M.D., a native of Birmingham, received his medical training at The University of Alabama in Birmingham where he also completed his orthopaedic residency. His post residency fellowship in spinal surgery was completed in Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Claytor is the recipient of numerous academic awards. In undergraduate school at The University of Alabama he was a National Merit Finalist Scholarship recipient and participated in University Honors School. In medical school he received outstanding student awards in Physiology and Pathology and graduated in the top 10% of his class in pre-clinical years.

His professional interests include spinal surgery, especially degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine.
