University Orthopaedic Clinic is proud to announce the association of Kevin J. Thompson, M.D. Dr. Thompson received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and his residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as Chief Resident. Most recently Dr. Thompson completed a sports medicine and shoulder fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, N.C.

Dr. Thompson has special interest in sports injuries affecting the knee, shoulder, and elbow, ranging from ligament reconstructions to cartilage restoration. He also has experience in both total and reverse total shoulder replacements. He served as the team physician and assistant team physician for numerous high schools and colleges during residency and has a strong interest in caring for the high school athlete.
