Donald S. Scott, M.D. joined University Orthopaedic Clinic in 1994 after completing a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Scott, a native of Alabama, received his medical training at the University of South Alabama and interned at the Orlando Regional Medical Center. In 1988 he was recipient of a Clinical Research Fellowship from Matthews Orthopaedic Clinic in Orlando Florida. In 1989 he was winner of the Eastern Orthopaedic Association Resident Fellow Scholar Award.

Dr. Scott fell in love with Orthopaedics during his first rotation as a resident in general surgery. To Dr. Scott the most satisfying aspect of his work is the pleasure of correcting a problem so that his patient recovers. Dr. Scott practices general orthopaedics with special interest in trauma, shoulder and knee disorders, arthroscopy and workers' compensation injuries.

Dr. Scott is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Alabama Orthopaedic Society, and serves as a clinical assistant professor for the University of Alabama College of Community Health Sciences in Tuscaloosa.
